Police sources said two teams are conducting the searches from around 7 a.m. at Thillai Nagar area where the residences of Mr. Nehru and his younger brother are located

Chennai, Tamil Nadu – The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids at multiple residences linked to Tamil Nadu Minister for Municipal Administration, Urban and Water Supply, K.N. Nehru, on April 7, 2025. The raids, which commenced in the early morning, targeted locations in Tiruchirappalli and other areas.
According to reports, ED teams, accompanied by central security forces, carried out simultaneous checks at properties associated with Minister K.N. Nehru and his family members. Reports indicate that the searches are also being conducted at properties related to his brother. The searches are reportedly connected to investigations into alleged financial irregularities involving a real estate group.
